Post its merger with Intercontinental Bank Plc, Access Bank’s volumes had grown to a great extent owing due to which the bank had started facing performance issues. Managing the database and routine activities such as EOD and EOM had started to take a very long time. EOM would take more than 24 hours to complete due to which business hours were getting wasted. This was creating various problems both at business level and customer level.
JMR analyzed the major schemas and implemented major changes both at the OS and database level to ensure better performance at the core level. EOM time was reduced from 24 hours to remarkable 10.5 hours. In consequence to the steps taken by experts at JMR the EOD time was reduced considerably, exponential growth of the database was tapped. There was great improvement seen in terms of service both at teller and ATM level and unnecessary bouncing of the database was checked.
