JMR Presents at FAO Digital Agriculture Conference, Rome

The Digital Agriculture Transformation Seminar, Rome, Italy organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) was held on the 12th and 13th of June, 2019.
The key objectives of seminar was to foster:
- An exchange among the stakeholders (Policy-makers, UN organizations, Public and Private sector players, Research organizations & Academia) to identify the challenges to bring digital transformation to agriculture and rural systems
- Explore pathways for assessing both the risk and opportunities from the digital transformation along the agricultural value chain and in rural areas
- The immediate need for a strategy to increase digital maturity in agriculture
Connecting The Dots – Bridging The Rural Divide
Srinivasan Arunachalam- President, JMR Infotech was invited to present his insights and perspectives on managing Climate change through Digital Innovation by Developing agrometeorological and agro-climatological capacity in developing countries. Srini’s zealous participation in the Debates, Experience sharing, Lessons learned and Panel discussions, extensively covered the opportunities & risks in use of ICTs to make the farmer communities more resilient to climate change. Srini concluded the discussion with thoughts on
